Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a walkaround zoom for my 400D, and have sorted it down to these two.
After trying them in the store I'm mighty impressed by the Tokina's build and 'feel', while the Tamron is more like a toy. What makes me most hesitant about getting the 16-50mm though are the varying reports about the optical performance. Some claim it to be on-par with the Tamron's good IQ, whereas other examples aren't quite that impressive.
Which one would you go for?
Do you have any useful links/comparisions to take a look at?
