Those are fun Barb. .. nice and colorful. ... Were these 4H kids? .. or a local club? I love the barrel racer's expression .. well, and the concentration on the pole bender's face too.. LOL .. The goat shots are good too. Looks like a fun day. :) Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Playm, this was a local club that hosted the Youth Rodeo, they also had roping events but by the time they started it was dark :(
#1 she is so happy she nailed the barrel, #2 looks like he was worried about knocking the pole over..LOL the young lady goat tieing boards her horses at my barn...

Looks like a good time was had by all! I bet that was fun shooting. I'd only suggest cropping a little tighter on the first three. Very nice captures:D

Thank you Seedy, my favorite past time also, but only I was the one on the horse not behind the viewfinder, just now started being the one behind the viewfinder:)

I used my 40D and believe it or not the 28-135 1:3.5-5.6 IS lens

A tighter shot with a larger aperture to blur the background would really make those pics pop.
