Ok so I have an 8 gig cf card in the card reader connected to my mac. I shut down the computer. I later remove the card from the reader while the computer is shut down thinking I ejected it and now I remember I didnt eject the card after all.

So now I load it up with 3 hrs of senior photos shot today and come home to download to the computer. I start up the computer and insert the card into the reader. I thought it was odd that the card was named the file name of the card I shot the day before. I renamed the folder containing todays files and now I'm finding they are all corrupted. Is there any software that can recover corrupted files?

thanks in advance for any suggestion....

I've used CardRecovery to some success, although I believe it is windows only. Do a google search for CF card recovery software and you might come up with something.
