This is a close-up of my son with my new 40D. I love the camera. I used an EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens / 1/200 @ f/5/6 / 135mm. I bounced the flash off the blinds. He was walking up to me in the livingroom and I told him to freeze. That is why you see a little cheetos residue on the corner of his mouth and on his shirt. I could PS it, but hey... that's my boy.

Awww, what a cute picture. I love the sparkle in his eyes, and his "cheesy" smile ;)

Don't PS shots like this, they are a reminder of his youth, for both of you. My wife always tells me not to PS our son because she wants to remember his youth as was and I agree with her, I still have a PS copy though

Nice capture.

Steve

I love this shot. He is so cute - what a fantastic smile -
I'll bet he gets away with a lot with that great smile!
The lighting is very nice.

Vicki :)

PS for the sharpening and color balance. Only light smoothing (if at all) on children. Crumb removal is always OK too!!

EOS 7D, 40D plus primes.....

I also agree about the PS for children, but if this was for a client then the Cheetos would have to go. One time I took a shot of a friends litle girl at a gathering and since it came out really nice I wanted to print it for them. While I PS'd the color balance I noticed what looked to be a sore on her upper chest. So I got rid of it. WRONG! That was a birth mark. Fortunatly the photo was something I did on my own and was not being paid, but I sure faced some embarrasement. Leason learned!
