AB 800 Not firing...

Maybe I'm doing something wrong.... I've never had this problem before...

I have 2 AB800's and the old remote trigger (RTF). So when I'm doing some test shots, the strobe that has the remote attached fires with the camera, but the second strobe will not fire.

The modeling light is working, and when I push the "test button, it fires.... but the main is not triggering the second unit.

Anyone know if there is some simple answer... ? I'm clueless...

So is your second light supposed to fire by the built in light sensor? If so, it might not be "seeing" the main flash. Just for a test, turn the 2nd strobe around so the back of it is facing the main. Try it then. If that's it, there's a simple fix: Create a reflector for your second strobe, so it will be aimed where you want it, and it will see a reflection of the main flash.

Yep... Good idea.. let me run and try it... and I'll let you know.

Now you've got us all hanging in suspense.

It worked when I turned it around... but I couldn't reflect enough light from the other strobe to make it trigger...

I'm going to switch the main control cord and see if that helps...
