I would go somewhere with less trees, to try to keep reflections uniform (or go to a covered area (parking garage?), to keep reflections to a minimum).

As you mentioned, the BG is kind of busy/distracting. I would choose a different angle/perspective to shoot your car from. This looks like an ad for autotrader to me.

You mentioned evening photos? Do you use a tripod?
