It's a very nice red x, but seems I've seen this around a lot... :)

It's a red X for me, too. I've switched from PBase to Flikr and I'm having trouble getting Flikr to link for me. I'll get it worked out and I'll be back later..............

Meanwhile, could I ask you to just click on the link?

Worth keeping yes. Worth putting in your portfolio, no. Looks a little over-processed to me.

Also it does not still any emotion for me.

It's a good start with a lot of classic mistakes. First, the horizon is too centered. A 50/50 horizon is rarely a good idea. Second, there's no real subject in the foreground. Something to contrast the rest of the scene would be nice. Third, the post processing seems to have added a lot of noise. Even for a compact, at ISO 50, there's too much noise at such a small size. Not bad out of a small compact though.

Subject wise it's quite interesting. Compositionally it's a little dull.

Did you add a different sky to the image? It looks like it's been fairly heavily PP'd.

I know this is just a personal preference, but I really hate those fake frames.

+1 on the frame. I'm not usually one to dislike frames, but less is more when it comes to them. This one is just trying way too hard.

I go through fazes with frames. Sometimes I like them--sometimes I don't. Today, I don't particularly care for the frame either.
I shot this a couple of years ago.
The sky is as shot.
Heavily PP'd? Absolutely. I believe the shot was made with my P&S (olympus 30-30 or the olympus 80-80?) and it most definitely didn't come out of the camera already with that gaudy frame.

For me and my equipment, the link is too small for me to make a full assessment and I don't know where the original is stored.

I recall that I was particularily impressed with the outcome from the edits and thought the sharpness, detail, and lack of noise resembled results I had seen produced with "L" glass. This image occupies about 2 x 2 inches of realistate on my screen. Is it the same size for you all?

Could you please elaborate on the composition? I thought the comp was it's best aspect.

I would say crop from the rockline (right after the grass ends) - up.

I personally like your landscape shots. Look almost HDR in some of them (if not they may be good canidates for it). You can always fix the 50/50 centering with a crop but if you HDR it you may not need to crop.
