So i need a Logo. JUST A LOGO

My definition of a logo is an arrangement of text/background. Im not looking or asking you to create a crazy graphic design character thing. If u incorporate any type of design/picture/etc it would be a camera related.

Logo:
-for Brendan Ryder Photography:
-something different, and unique.
-nice font combination
-any color combo will do.

i will wait around 1 week for ppl to try.
submit a screen shot, with a watermark if u want, to the thread or u can PM me. i will pick my favorite after around a week. who ever made the one i choose will get 50$ via paypal for the Photoshop copy of the logo.

any questions?
i dont care if u spend 5 minutes or 5 hours. just try.

and thanks to Mchong for the idea :D

Photographers are writing thread after thread complaining about low-ball offers on photography jobs and then turn around and make the same kind of offer for hours and hours of design work. The only thing the OP left out is "This will get your name out there. And, When I get famous I promise to give you higher paying jobs."

Oh and, "for 30$ mchong got some really nice ones." Remember that the next time someone offers you a four or five hour photo shoot job that pays $30.00.

Can't wait to see who "Wins" this.

It seems like you already have a design picked out before it's even started. Your criteria is a bit too 'structured'. Good luck...

Brendan, no offense, but you're part of the reason why a lot of people don't take our profession seriously.

Like the posters above me, how would you feel if someone came up to you and asked you to photograph something for $50.00 - and to photograph that thing would take you 5 hours? Then, after you're done photographing it, you have to go process the images in post production using whatever software you have. You're looking at another 5 hours there, maybe less if you're capable in photoshop. You're looking at literally $5.00/hour.

Remember, graphic designers/photographers have their own mouths to feed and equipment to upkeep. Your SLR costs the better part of a grand, lenses, computers, memory cards... It's not all that different for Graphic Artists. My cousin is a graphic artist, and I hired her to design a logo for me - and paid her $400.00 for it.

Please be a bit more sensitive next time you think of posting something like this.

Let the kid do what he wants, its a public forum. Its all economics people, if you want to make $50, make the kid a design, if not.....skip to the next post. If someone came up to me, and asked to take a picture for $50, I would either take a picture on my phone, and email it to them or say no thanks, and move along. He isnt degrading a profession, thats almost like saying a r/c plane hobbyist takes away from being a airplane pilot on a Boeing.
