Been playing with some alternative lenses lately. This was taken at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden with a Canon 5D using a 30-year old Minolta Rokkor MC 58mm/f1.2 lens. This lens has some of the finest bokeh, rivaling that of most modern lenses.

Canon 5D, 58mm focal length, f1.2, ISO 100:

Same lens but different perspective at f2.5:

i concur.

Stinking smugmug went down due to some problems with the Amazon servers. I see the pics now, so maybe its back up again.

Smugmug and Amazon finally have the bugs worked out...everything's back up and running.

Yep...the lens, I believe, is pretty much 1978 or so vintage and has been converted to an EOS mount. Depending on the shooting conditions, the bokeh is pretty similar to that of the Canon 85L.
