Hitech ND Grads

I am looking at getting this set of hitech nd grads off bhphotography, the 0.6, 0.9 and the 1.2, theyre all very reasonable.
I have been doing some research into nd grads and these particular filters do not get mentioned too much here. But i have seen some amazing pictures with the in use. Whats everyones views on them?

I've been pleased with mine when using them.

cool, well i was just looking through some magazines of mine and the photos they were displaying were all using the hitech grads, i think for the three nd grads and 2 nd filters and the cokin p series holder it all came to around 260, a great price i think

I use the Hitech and they are very good indeed. Better value than the Lee.

I have used both hi-tech and Lee filters for the past several years and
see no difference in IQ - very happy with both brands.

I am happy with my HiTech as well.
I advise you to get 4x5 GND filters, and buy Z-pro Cokin instead of P-series, whether you use 10-22 on crop bodies or ultra wide angle lens on FF [Such as 16-35 or 17-40] then you will get more vignetting with P-series than Z-pro.

so i found all the right nd gards in the 4x5 size on bhphotovideo but now i cant find just the neutral density filters for this size filter holder

Yes, it is that correct Cokin Z-pro holder, and don't forget to get the right adapter ring, i believe it is this one

But if you want to get just normal circular ND filter then look at Hoya or B+W, they have good ND, but i was thinking to get Singh-Ray Vari-ND.

I use the Hi-Techs as well and have been very happy. I did choose the Cokin P size, and that was a purely cost driven decision. I use a cut down Cokin holder and get no Vignetting at 17mm with a 5D. But I would be nice to extra room of the Z-pro. I just couldn't spend that much at the time.

I originally purchased them when I shot film (EOS 3). Surprisingly I notice more vignetting with the 5D than on the EOS 3 with slides.
