newbie christening 100-400 at farnborough

a few from the Farnborough airshow today and earlier in the week.

red arrows are with the 70-200f4 L IS, taken from my office car park roof (pretty close to the airfield, and they pass right over us on some maneouvres).
the fighters with the 100-400L IS (first outing for these, pretty happy). Unfortunately my son didn't want to stay for the whole time so I had to duck out after the eurofighter, F16 and F18. Gutted to miss the catalina and lancaster, and the red arrows a 2nd time.

first shot is great! i really need to trade my 70-200 for a 100-400. and then get a 40d instead of my 400d. then ill be set.

Is there this big of a different between the 40D and the XTI? I had similar pictures using the same lens and mine are not as crisp. I think I need to upgrade bodies after seeing this pictures haha.
