As the others have said #1 is the money shot. Your office car park roof is one heck a vantage point ~ "they" should think about charging for viewing??? Oh and what lovely weather you had that day ~ on Friday it was poor to say the least :(

IQ should pretty much be the same but I want the 40d for the 6.5fps vs the xtis 3

40D is worth it for the viewfinder - gorgeous and bright.

didn't use the fps here, mostly single shots or double taps. Not a fan of machine gunning although have used it occasionally. wasn't a reason to upgrade for me

yeah understandable, i do alot of sports and drag racing, so it would be beneficial for me. the price tag is the only thing that i cant give into yet lol
