Some popular places in the Salt Lake area are Memory Grove, Murray Park and the Garden Park Ward grounds. Just to name a few

Utah has wonderful scenery. You really can't go wrong with any of the canyons near SLC. My aunt and uncle got married at the top of Snowbird ski resort and it was really cool. My friend had some photos done at the Salt flats with a race car that turned out really good.

if youre looking for an unusual spot, theres an old abandoned waterpark just off the great salt lake. If you head out to the saltair in magna, it's an old run down building about five miles east of the saltair. It's got old train cars, really crazy graffiti, and a ton of ole waterslides all over the place. REALLY cool place to shoot! Just bring bug spray!

Great tip on the waterpark! I'll have to head out there soon. Amen to the bug spray!

It is behind the Chuckarama on 4th South and 8th East.

I also like to shoot around the older warehouses that are around gateway and pioneer park.
Murray park actually as some good spots too, depending on what you are shooting.

Not sure, but I have heard they charge pro's to use their gardens to shoot. Might want to call before just to make sure.

I had heard RB was charging to (I have a staff/press pass so I wasn't sure)....At least they are a non-profit and the $$ go back into the gardens. (I shoot their concerts as an "in kind" donation and get to write it off:D)

There are tons of other locations, but so many local locations have become cliche. City Creek canyon/memorial park, the Main St park/plaza, SLC Temple grounds, Even RB.

I say move out of the comfort zone and use some contrasting back grounds. I have always want to shoot bridals in a factory with sparks and metal work in the background.
