Nice job!:D Also pretty cool how your photos kind of perform their own slideshow.

Nice work Dital,
Try adding a color to your IR images (blue-red channels swap), also shooting green background and water reflections. Examples: http://community.webshots.com/album/139587111lUMHVL (external link)

Greetings,
Roumen

Great job, what kind of IR filter are you using with your G1? Also, do you mind sharing your workflow. Thanks.

I've been away for a while and this is the first message I clicked on when I returned... my timing is perfect. These are excellent images. Intersesting subjects and angles and results.

And the display is as striking as the photos.

Congratulations.

Don

Greetings,
Roumen

Hi Roumen, and thanks for the info however I'm not sure if the channel swap trick will work with my current camera configuration. I'll give it a go tonight when I get home... I love your shots in your gallery - well done they look great!

Hey jojoM, the G1 that I used for these shots has been modified into an IR
only camera, when I say that I mean that the internal hotmirror has been
removed and replaced with a HOYA RM72 IR filter.

My work flow is as follows... Images captured using RAW and P mode.. RAW
images then processed using BreezeBrowser via droplet colour selection
(grey) then levels, contrast adjustments etc made within photoshop.

Hi Don, I was wondering where you were ;) I'm glad that you liked my shots! To be honest they are nothing very special I was just testing out the G1m on a rather not ideal IR overcast day. Hopefully I will get some better weather soon.

All the best,

Steve.

P.S. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your handiwork for inspiration! ;)

I was afraid you'd say that... :) I think that when you really try, the results will be spectacular.

I received my first modified G1 on a foggy day and went out anyway... got some very interesting fog shots that I still like.

I think I can start looking to you for inspiration. You're doing a great job... and I haven't shot anything in the month we've been back from Thailand. I'm sure I'll get in gear one of these days.

Take care... post again.

Don

That’s funny to hear - no matter what the weathers like, as soon as the G1m arrives it has to be put through its paces. I felt like a kid on Christmas day!

Thanks for the complements and I will surly keep the forum posted of any good shots I may take. Yep your right you need to get into gear I was under the impression that you were a guy that never leaves the house without you camera?! Come on your letting it slip! ;)

Thanks,

Steve.

Thanks,

Still carrying, just not clicking... ok, I'll try to find something to shoot. (I did shoot a dog at McDonald's the other day, so I'm still willing to pull the trigger.) :)

Cheers,

Don
