First post...ESPN Navy Moto-x Championship

Hey All,

Well this is my first post on this forum. I've been lurking around for some time now and finally built up enough courage to try and post something. These are from a moto-x championship that took place in San Diego Ca. I think it was called the ESPN Navy Moto-x Championship.

Any who, here is just 3 of the thousands that I took over the weekend. I'm still learning so take it easy on my please. CC is welcomed.. thanks!

would you mind showing the exif data for these. It seems like you should have upped the shutter speed on all of them.

Last shot is @ 250th, to slow for MX stuff unless your panning and going for that effect. Other than that I think that is why the shots are blurry.

Also you had two at F9 and one at F13......that's not helping your shutter speed. Both shots could have been at least 750th even with a 5.6 lens. With that 300mm lens your using & the 30D you need AT LEAST a 500th hand held to be sharp........and that's if your good holding a long lens with action shots. Myself I try to be at least 1000th holding a 300mm shooting MX.

Thank you very much for you comments. I see what you mean. Actually I'll have a chance to practice your advise this weekend at the X-games 14. I'll post those as soon as I can.
