I just ordered Markins Q3T ballhead today, but it will come with its own clamp, and i was confusing to keep their clamp or take it off to use another clamp.
Now i will get this ballhead in few days later, and i have already RRS B2 LRII clamp to use with Markins ballhead, so anyone here knows how i can take off that Markins clamp and place RRS clamp on Q3T? what accessories or parts i need to do that?

From an old post from Ben_r, you can order the Q3 head with the clamp not installed onto the head.

I maybe interested in the Markins clamp if you decide to sell it later. Does it fit on other heads?

When you order the clamp you could have asked them to remove it for you... If its too late for that and they have already shipped it, email them and find out if they used Loctite to "glue" the clamp to the head. If they did it is still removable, its just going to be a little harder.

For what its worth being that you are going to use an RRS clamp anyway I would suggest selling the Markins one. I got $60 for mine here on POTN and that was a good deal. Makes the cost of the ballhead a little cheaper! :)

The salesman told me if i want to remove the clamp or just leave it there, but because i pay full for both so i decided to keep the clamp and i take it later myself, and he said that after i asked him that if i want to use another clamp just i send him an email and he will send me back the instruction how to remove it, so i will wait to get that ballhead with its clamp and later i will send them email regarding about how to use another clamp on Markins ballhead, harder to do is good but i hope it is not impossible to do that.

Should i go with blue loctite? I feel that i will fall in love with my RRS clamp on Markins ballhead, but in case i should use blue loctite?

The Markins clamps are secured with loctite onto the ball. The instruction to remove the clamp essentially directs you to use a mallet to loosen the clamp. I would think a strap wrench work.

Okay good. When I called them and asked them to remove the clamp before they shipped my Q3T the guy I spoke to didnt sound to happy about me wanting it removed because I wanted to replace it with an RRS one, but they did it nice cleanly anyway.

Thats why i didn't ask them to remove it when i called them, and as long i will pay for full kit then better to have the clamp than paying for ballhead only without clamp for the price of both, and now i have to be brave enough to do it myself.

No no, if you call and ask them to remove it they just stick it on a padded bag and in the box. You still get it! Then you can sell it like I did for $60 to help pay for the RRS clamp. Oh no, dont think if you ask them to remove it they charge you for it and keep it! You still get the clamp! Its just not Loctited on the ballhead and therefore easier for you to sell!

It's too late [I am listening to this song, so lovely], i just got it with the clamp attached, no one told me that if i asked them to remove it then they will include it with my ballhead, i thought they will not include it when they will remove it.
Maybe i should order Q3 this time, lol, really i love RRS stuff because they designed it so you can remove it easily than using some tools and your force to remove the clamp, now i am scared to do that for my Markins, not wanting to damage the clamp anyway.
