Great shots, Scott! I've gotta go with the crowd here and vote #2 as my fav. The skyline makes that shot KILLER!

nope, its dirt, not a rock. this was during dirt prelims and all you are seeing is shallow dof.

like everyone else said, #2 for the win.

this is just my 2 cents, but i would've gone wider. so you can see the gaps.
thats what i like to see when i'm being photographed on my BMX or MTB.

thanks guys, sorry for the slow response but I've been out of the country this last week.

No, I didn't shoot for the venue while there. I was shooting a "project" for a group out of California. I should have done more wide stuff but it just seems like you see so much of that and the rider can often be lost in the image when the backgrounds are busy which is almost always the case at a venue like this.

shots look great but it looks like you've got a spec of dirt on your sensor in the sky pics.

if you see mike spinner there, make sure you make fun of his ineptness when in the presence of females.

make sure it's mean, though, you don't wanna make it seem like it's in good fun.

The only time I was around him was in the park during practice (cut short due to rain). He had his ankle all wrapped..a clear ploy to get some female sympathy but I gotta say, it's a solid strategy.
