A friend has recently asked me if I would shoot their senior pictures. I've never done a formal shoot, so I told them - I'd attempt to, outdoor only. I need some tips. I have the lenses in my sig and may be getting a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 here soon. Should I get a flash for fill?

Yes, fill flash outdoors will help a bunch.

The 501.8 would go ok on a crop....Head for open shade and if you have a tripod that would be great...If you set your camera for AV with flash on it will basically act as fill flash....

Not sure if the links said anything about this but;
Work in either bright light or shade whenever possible, avoid mixing the two - especially if it's you're first time paid with this kind of shoot.
