Ok, doing a memory mate and realized the other ones I had done were kinda boring - does this look like it's on the right path? Any suggestions, rip apart.

I like the idea and layout, but I'm not too thrilled with the processing of the background image (however, I typically don't like that effect in general, so I may be a bit biased). Maybe apply a slight gaussian blur on the background layer to soften the effect a little bit and/or desaturate some to separate the foreground pictures a bit more?

I think with the background being green, and the grass in
the shots being green, it kind of blends together. This along
with the choice of black for the border. It just doesn't seem
as striking as it could be.

Thanks for the suggestions - do have to say the background being green and much of the other colors being green has been driving me to change it a bit. Printed a copy and the background isn't as noticable or green as on the net but sent one to a real lab to see how bad they mesh from those prints. Will try the desaturation trick if it's too clashy.

Matt, yes her name is Smiley McSmiles from Smilesville, USA :) No, I don't post the kids name on here and just change it out.
