Very nice - I think they are an improvement over the shots with the TC.

Much sharper than the previous set. Nice captures.

Cheers!

very very nice Matt. MUCH better without the tc for sure. #1 is cropped too tight (holy crap, did I actually say that) and the horizon is skewed as is the horizon in #2. #3 is the banger imo but I like the rest although I think the horizon in #4 may be off a touch too. great work here man, touch op a few details and FSI should be thrilled.

thanks man. With the 6x9 crop it is tough with that first one, but i see what your talking about.

I don't see the horizons on the others though, but I will double check the image again.

I think my favorite is #4 with the look and the cracked bat, just something about it that is cool to me.

Matt - The 6x9 crop is a guideline, not a rule for FSI.

oh it is? MJ said to use 6x9 cropping...will have to ask him again. Thanks for the heads up cause sometimes that 6x9 is a pain in the arsh when cropping for pitchers

6x9 is the desired crop because it is the same as full frame, so if you frame right in camera while taking the pic you should be able to crop to 6x9 easily. Of course this is easier said than done sometimes and you have to be creative and have odd crops, then you just crop and make the smallest side 1800px.

Dead space in 6x9 is going to happen sometimes but when the image can be used for several purposes (cards, magazines, websites, etc) it's important to leave room for the company's to work with - so you want space around the player a little bit to cover your arse.

why not use the MaxPreps action? I think the ratio is almost the same but guarantees that safety margin. sorry for the "drive by" suggestion since I'm not involved but it seems like it would work well.

Janes, when you sending me down to Akron for you?:lol: Bustin your stones of course!

On an unrelated side note, I have been follwoing the Tour de France closely as I do every year and that Bacardi mojito sound from the commercials that run during it so stuck in my head its making me nuts. okay, back to the tour. later guys.

Not a fan of the MP action, there crop ratio is different and those guides they drop in are nothing but annoying. I use their px ratio but never use those lines, if you can't eye it up to know it fits then somethings wrong with your eyes :)

I was in Akron not to long ago on a quick drive through, Eastlake then to Akron then home last min to get LaPorta.
