Did any one get any decent pictures of the wings of blue at the Mcchord air show?
I was one of the jumpers and would love to see some shots if you have them.

I still think this should be in the transportation forum since the event I am asking about was during an airshow....But...does any one have the more pictures? Have Fun, Live Free, Skydive--JT

I believe the XTI's auto focus is better than the XT.( I shoot with an XT) http://www.shutterfly.com …?gid=768a5498ce7d9a0b4d72 I find if I set the focus point on the 2nd to far left point (I turn the cam 90* clockwise) and allow it to focus on the parachute I get good shots. (or you can focus on the jumper instead.) If I give the whole field focus the cam gets confused and doesnt know what to focus on. When I shoot jumpers there are usually a lot of them in the sky so I use auto focus. In the event I only shoot one jumper I sometimes switch to manual focus. As for staying in a safe place. talk to the Dropzone owner (dzo)before you just go wandering out in the landing area. I've never known a DZO to be happy that a spectator is on the landing area. thanks,, im not really thrilled abotu the af on my xti heheh.. tho it could be my eyes and the lense throwing me off ahh... i may be able to use a 300mm with is for the trip when i go, if not im stuck with my 105mm. which means ill be getting flare shot hehe.. fun either way. i like the focus on chute idea...
