I was recently given a bg-e3 grip for my 400d. It's a welcome addition to my kit, but it's causing problems with my onboard camera jog-dial.

Whenever the bg-e3 powered on it causes the camera's jog-dial to be read improperly. No matter which direction the jog-dial is spun it only increases the chosen value. Whether it's spun left or right, the chosen value only goes up. The jog-dial on the battery grip itself works properly, though. As soon as I turn off the bg-e3 the camera jog-dial functions properly again.

I'm using it with 2 fully-charged canon batteries. It's mounted properly. The contact points are in fine shape and are clean.

Anyone out there with similar problem or with some advice?

Cheers
