Here is one I took a couple days ago..I thought I would have a better feel for my camera by now (had it for about a week), guess it takes LOTS of practice!!

Is this handheld? I would kinda guess it is...the way your arms are.

I would suggest bumping up the ISO. I see it was set at 200, and you got a shutter speed of 1/20. That is a bit slow for handheld, and it looks like it made the shot a bit blurry. I was always told that 1/60 is pretty much the minimum for handheld.

That said, the fact that you are so pretty makes the photo a LOTS easier to look at.

Have fun with the new camera.

Thanks Aduda..how do you know from a pic what my ISO was? I need to study this art of photography more!! Yes, handheld, I took it looking in the mirror (trying to get a reflection shot). It wasn't that blurry until I cropped it, and suddenly it became a larger, close up pic! So..set the ISO higher (maybe 400?) and the shutter speed set to 1/60 or greater? Got it! Thanks so much!

Nice picture. I LOVE the eyes. Using a tripod and the self timer would have made it a heck of a lot easier though.

Not going to beat the blurry horse to death. :p I do like the pose and light appears to work well with you. As stated already, very pretty.;)

yeah, the eyes are very pretty. definitely worth a redo. i would put the camera on a tripod, set the automatic timer, and use the largest aperture you could. practice makes perfect :)

Really..YA THINK?? lol (sorry, a bit of sarcasm in me)
I was trying to get a "reflection"pic, so I needed the camera in my hand, but got carried away..and actually didn't think to put the camera on the tripod. Heck, my tripod still has the tags and plastic attached..but I did figure out the timer..so I will play around with the tripod, timer, and my new photoshop software (not installed yet), then post better pics ..k? Thanks for the input everyone!! Much appreciated!!
