Hello everyone,
Ive been lurking this forum for awhile now reading tips and tricks and looking over everyone's work. All of the photos and information have been very inspiring and helpful. Today I decided to join the forum and share what I have done so far. My history in photography stems back to highschool where I took black and white film photography classes. I have never had color digital photography classes though I plan on doing so. I recently quit my job in a hair salon to become a photographer. These are all snapshots I have taken over the course of the last few months. Any comments, critiques and suggestions are more than welcome.
Thanks in advance!

I think #1 is a classic if it had a little more processing. Maybe some more contrast to bring out some of the shadows. Great shot though!

#1 and #5 are really standouts as they convey something about the character of the subject (#1) or subject and scene (#5). #2 is good but a bit cliche imo. The rest seem like frat party snapshots to me.

You've obviously got some talent and a good eye. Filter the mediocre stuff and I think you'll be on your way.
