hahaha!!!
I hate to mock people, but photoshop is the best way to get a ghost, as proven. for all you know the photos could be shadows from lights behind an action figure or whatever, or the colour flare(?) from lens glass (don't know the technical term)

Great laugh JD!! :D

an infrared or thermal camera is really the best option I would think.

As for a regular camera & settings, I wouldn't even begin to know how to photograph in total darkness. If you were going to use a flashlight, then maybe set your camera on AV and try to adjust accordingly. Or it might be better to set it on green box mode and let it choose everything for you (I'm not joking...it may know best how to shoot in the dark).

and it's okay to be a little crazy...as long as you enjoy yourself. ;)

post what you get :)

When we were kids toasting marshmallows over a bonfire at night, someone would inevitably set the end of a stick on fire.

Then when it was shaken rapidly it would make those really cool neon sign looking swirls of light just like the ones in the link under Cemetery Ghosts.

Being a kid, I didn't realize the light steaks were caused by ghosts.;)

Did anyone else know that these were caused by ghosts?

That's assuming ghosts produce heat.
The few ghosts I know are as cold as ice :)

Thermal, yes.
Infared, no - infared has nothing to do with heat.

I STRONGLY suggest that the original poster reads and understands infared. It's the only logistical way of picking anything abnormal up. It's still stupid, but if you want to learn a realistic way of doing what you want to do, this is the closest thing you'd come to it. As I previously stated.

Geothermal energy camera's I believe cost a lot more and ideally I wouldn't suggest going down that path, but again it is the second best option.
