Hi all, after recently reviewing the "Best Panning Shot" thread I was inspired to have a go myself at Oulton last weekend, here are a few I took, C&C welcome, was shooting handheld mostly at 1/125 & 1/80

Thanks for looking, Garry.

Great selection and results. I could never get down to those shutter speeds :(

I particularly like the Haslam and Kennaugh shots

What lens were you using?

Paul

My favourite, Chris Burns on the M.V., great shot and the best looking/sounding bike there, excellent panning.

Those are very "slow" sutter speeds you've managed Garry. If this is the first time you've done panning shots, I can't wait to see what you'll produce second time now you're experienced! Excellent shots, mate!

All very nice panning shots but the MV Agusta is my favorite. Impressive work.

Thanks a bunch for the comments (keeps up the morale and that I'm going in the right direction!), yes this is my first time where I have gone with the intention of shooting at much slower speeds - and it is where I will be from now on, it's challenging but rewarding too.

Here are some more from the set I got Sunday, the first one is my favourite of the whole lot....

Garry - did you use a monopod or any other kind of support for any of these shots? What lens/focal length/aperture were you using?

Gary

He explained everything he was using.
Very nice panning shots, that MV is sexy.

Nice image but I did have to convert the last 8 to links. Take a look at the Image Posting Rules Please.
