Hi,
I just returned from holiday and noticed that my filters are a bit dirty.
The dirt seems to be finger grease and dust.
Is it ok to use conventional window cleaner to clean the filters or will this damage them?

I use the cloth I bought in the photoshop to clean the lenses for cleaning the filters too. Canonman47

Some window cleaners contain ammonia, which may or may not damage the coating. If the warm breath doesn't work, lens cleaning fluid or a lens pen will do just fine. But first, be sure to use a blower to remove any particulate that may be on the filter. "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son". - Dean Wormer

Start with a blower, then a brush. If it's still dirty (as in the case of fingerprints, etc.) then a fresh lens tissue and a drop of Formula MC or ROR will do a great job cleaning it. La Vida Leica!
