Is $2700 for this camera a good price? Not sure what it ran new

Not the best price out there. Depends a lot on condition and shutter count.
Some are as low as $2200, more at $2500, maybe a like new body with low shutter clicks is in the $2700 range.

Actuations 1850. Looks brand new. How much was a brand new body?

Difference between the N and non-N body?

Bigger screen. Supposedly better AF and sharper images. But ot much in it.

2700$ would be a reasonable price in Europe, can't imagine in US it is a good price...but depends on condition and shutter acts..

It is similar in condition and shutter count; so it should be an accurate representation of what some one is willing to pay.

I have a like new low count 2n and that's around what it would take to get me to sell, but I would also be supplying 3 spare batteries. I bough mine from B & H in Oct 06 for about $3500 but by the time it was in my hands here in Canada the total was almost $5000 Cdn.

Brand new, these were in the $4,000 range I believe. Heck of a camera, but I think you could get one for less. Or find a MKII non-N and save even more.

thats what I said. I am getting a lot of different prices for the camera...talk about confused.

As a reference:

I have a Feb 2007 MKIIn. It has around 20,000 actuations. It is in mint condition and has all things as new including a second Canon battery. It just came back from Canon service for a full check / calibration / physical...something all my pro bodies go through annually.

I will sell this one when I am comfortable moving to an MKIII. If that were to happen today, it would take $2700 for me to part with it. Anything less would mean I would keep it as a back-up. I suspect my price is a bit on the high side, but I am as anal as they come when it comes to my gear.

Just an FYI, I bought a mk IIn with 27k shutter actuations a couple of months ago from my local photo shop. It came with a spare battery. I paid $2100 for it.
