i recently bought an AB800 and have had this no name 24x24 softbox for a while
the ring on the softbox i have is plastic but the alienbee will kinda accept it cause it just wedges on there

since its plastic...i notice it gets fairly warm after a bunch of pops

i wanted to replace the plastic ring with the AB one but im not sure if itll fit

the inner most part where the poles stick into the speedring is roughly 4.75" from hole to hole

1--2
|---|
3--4

for example from 1 to 4...the inner most part where the poles fit into is about 4.75"

can anyone measure their AB ring?

and between 1 and 2 is about 3.25"

If no-one replies PM me on Sunday to measure mine, I won't be home until then and if you PM me in advance i'll probably forget. I should be able to find it. I would be surprised if it didn't fit your soft box.
