Battery powered Strobes without power cords (not hotshoe)

Is there available a battery powered strobe that is 400ws and possibly 800ws?

When I say battery powered I mean a relatively small battery that can be attached to the strobe or light stand, not a vagabond type battery in which wires are running from the strobe to the ground. I may have 5 lights or more so profoto 3 or 4 heads battery packs don't help plus I don't want the wires running everywhere.

The ideal strobe will have the battery contained within or like the Qflashes easily clip able to the light stand. Thus we have only light stands placement, not cords laying about the ground.

Is the Qflash really a 400ws strobe? Pocket Wizards would be used to fire.

Which wires go to the ground on vagabond II? You must be talking about the older version i.e. vagabond I

OK I understand what you mean, no wires on the floor. Put separate battery for each strobe on its lightstand.

Lumedyne. About the same as the QFlash.
200 Ws by default. You can stack a few boosters in between battery and generator to go up to 2400Ws.

If you don't want cables, you'ld need one pack for each head though. Not too economical.

If you regularly need that much power, I'd look into ProFoto however.

How do you guys feel about a Sunpak 622 or Metz 76?

I will use a 60" umbrella or 24x24" softboxes usually. Yes I will put a small battery pack for these on the stands themselves. I don't really want a 9lb car type battery.
