Little G-Hopper on a flower

I saw this little guy on the same flower yesterday evening and had the wrong lens on to capture him. Looked this morning and he was gone.

I was out in the yard again this evening and dang if he wasn't back, and on the same flower!

I recognize the lily but is that really a grasshopper or something else?
