End all to 40D grip questions..hopefuly..

i just got my canon grip and all i see are 2 buttone and the shutter cable.

no way to adjust aperture.

however, my thumb reaches the wheel w/o any issues.

Exactly, the shutter is still on the QCD, easily reachable in landscape or portrait positions (and I have small hands )

The new Opetka grip is GARBAGE. It looks ridiculously ugly, doesn't even have a main dial, has two shutter releases for god knows what reason. The old one looks similar to the canon one, except the batteries load from the side.

I'm surprised the Yong Nuo grip is so similar, it looks EXACTLY the same as the Canon one.

My bad guys... I have not had a canon grip on my 30D my 30D is new to me. I have been shooting an XT and it has the AP control button to hold down and change the ap. settings with the SS wheel...

I can reach the thumb wheel on the camera ok.. but no shutter control... Like I said give me a bit more and I might consider on passing this on...paying it forward if anyone is interested in that let me know.

I think Kevin is a Canon employee, sending around a junk grip to anyone who wants it, just to prove the knockoffs aren't worth keeping, even for free. What do you guys think?
