It's interesting. I am brand new to panning (only done it once) but it appears as if you panned in the opposite direction of the car. Is that right?

my eyes! kidding :) That rear wheel gives a pretty weird stereoscopy effect. That would be a pretty cool pan now that I think about it... setup 2 rigs with the same focal length on a tripod and do a stereo pan ;) interesting shot btw!

My eyes won't stay still looking at it! :D :D

Is that an on-purpose paint job or did he pick up lots of parking tickets on the way to the track?

I find these pans 1/20 work best on the exit of corners, think it needs more car sharpish for my taste if that makes sens.

Thanks Steve

It looks cool. Sometimes accidents are good. The picture does make me feel like I had to many drinks.
Same thing happened to me with this one which I like.

Its a PanZoom because the photographer pans but! the subject is closing the distance thru the exposure, so the subject zooms. ;)

A bit to blurry for me, it would have been very nice if the front of the car had been sharp.

That's because when it comes to these things, he's correct.

Cheers, Dave.
