Well at the age of 28 im on the verge of finally moving out as long as everything goes well come monday. Found an apartment in new construction here in NJ only 15 minutes from my mothers house (current home). Its very nice inside, small kitchen but all modern and up to date stuff. Living room is pretty big, its combined with the dining room and the kitchen is right there too. So that's really the only thing i dont like. But its an apartment not a condo or townhouse. Bedroom is pretty big to me considering i've lived in a room the size of a jail cell since 1990 (thanks lil sis). Im just hoping when we get new furniture with the $900 from ikea gift cards (thanx park ave bmw) that we dont get stuff that will be to big or ugly. Im going to probably find a nice small computer desk for my laptop and one that will hold a printer and some stuff.

Im so excited and scared at the same time. Will be the first time living outside the confines of my house and with living someone.

Congratulations - it looks like a lot of life-sized decisions have been made there.

All the very best for you and yours in your new home.

Congrats! What part of NJ?

The women, the food, the different cultures, the polluted air...ahhhh...I miss NJ! :( My family is still there so I should be up there soon to visit.

I'd be so lucky to move out in 10 years!

I'm 18 and already feel obligated to move out, too bad I currently make little to no $. And with photography any money I make goes to gear.

Oh well, college should be my priority, amirite?

Not as excited as your Mom--but then I've got kids home from college--and being irrelevant, clueless and just plain wrong is getting old. ;)

1 week so far in the new digs. pretty sweet place once all the furniture and stuff got moved in. Not much room in the apartment for anykind of "office". But the storage down in the basement is plenty big. each apt. gets there own cage/storage. its like 8x10 feet.
