I am about to get a Minolta Angle Finder Vn with 1x and 2x magnification. If I use it at 1x, will I be able to see the bottom row of the screen with the information? Also, can I use it as an extension of the view finder so I don't get my nose oil on my 40D screen?

I can. At 1x it looks fine, at 2x the data is magnified too but it's usable. This is on a 30D w/Opteka right angle finder.

Can't help you there.

No I'm talkin' like 3 inches. The length of an angle finder extended.

Cheers
