...you feel like no matter what you shoot, you just suck? I've been feeling like that for a couple months now.

On the flip side, sometimes I go thru phases where I seem to catch everything just right, too, so I guess it evens out.

Yah! Mostly the former, not the latter. But you have more lenses than me and one of the ones I want, and with that lens it's hard to take bad pictures (70-200 f/2.8 IS).

Oh, puhleeze...

I seem to recall a certain air to air series, in biplanes that was pretty damn good...

Don't sell yourself short, sir! ;)

I always think I am doing really bad. All the time. Than a month or two passes and I go through some pictures again and dig up ones that I really like.

I do when I go up to the local camera shop and one guy there has an Olympus E3 and we compare shots we take at the same time and settings and his always are sharper because of his in body stabilization.

Let's see, I purchased my first SLR in 1976, so that would be the time I became serious about this hobby. Since that time, there may have been two or three days that I didn't feel like my photos were crap. :)

If it's stationary or moves, I shoot it. However, no amount of love or money will get me to shoot a wedding or any other special occasion.

Absolutely. But for me it's the times when you have the camera ready, you are at some event or whatever and just don't know what to shoot. Feel like puttin gthe camera away because your not inspired.

RAW had really helped me be able to take photos that suck and make them into something pleasing to look at.

Ah yes your camera takes great photos. Would not be any skill on his part would it?
