Thank you... One of those shots got me a cover on a monthly newspaper I contract for.

I would hope so... Those were terrific!

Gaaa! I can't even fold the small ones. I can't picture trying to fold one that size...

Sectionals drive me crazy. Especially when I'm flying beyond the fold!

A semi-professional photographer (he did landscape) told me at one point that if you get one great picture per 200 shots or so, you are doing pretty well.

That would really suck if you shot with film! :p

edit: I don't know if I have any "great" photos with my 35mm.. lol a few good butterfly shots but nothing fantastic.

I know I do at times; mostly in regards to landscape photos. I just picked up a strobist kit; it seems like I can really let my creativity flow now and create the scene where as w/ landscape you have to wait for the right light and make compromises in terms of composition. Perhaps I will get in a rut w/ the strobes as well, but from what I can see it's less likely.

Errrr, what's a strobist kit??

Strobist = Lighting a scene by using (traditionally) on-camera flash heads (430EX, 580EX, etc...) as off-camera light sources.

i always feel like that. i think i shot something good, then when i look at the photos (developed from film or on the monitor) they are blurred, not exposed correctly etc. instead of keeping on, i get discouraged and my camera finds a cozy home in my closet for a few days, or longer.
sometimes i don't like taking my camera out to public outings with friends/family, cuz when i see the pictures that suck, i don't want to be asked to see them when they didn't turn out.
don't give up, and have confidence, best advice i know of.

You mean we're supposed to look at them after we shoot? I just delete everything off my memory card when I'm finished shooting because I assume everything will suck.
