Well, I don't really know about the whole Elvis thing (I thought he was living in Africa with JFK and Jim Morison), but I do like the shot and especially the retro/nostalgic feel. I think the only thing I would have done differently is had the mic at a bit more of an angle...more of a diagonal across the shot. Maybe try moving the mic a little more to the right and then tip the mic back a little further.

Otherwise, nice work!

Just so ya know, these mics are actually still available...or rather an excellent reproduction of them by the original manufacturer. It's called a Shure 55SH Series II and they go for around $160. If you should ever be interested in re-shooting this image, maybe walk into a Guitar Center or Sam Ash music store (or someplace similar) and if you're lucky enough to get a friendly sales person, they might just let you shoot one in the store :D.

Heck...now that I think about it, I may just try it myself! LOL!
