I'm no where near a pro, but at least I'm starting to look like one. I just got my new (new to me) Sigma 120-300. I look good taking the pictures but now I need your help with comments. Don't worry, I have tough skin and won't "close" the thread if I don't like what I read. ;)

I love the way this lens captured the sweat flying above the kids heads.

it's not all that bad at all ... but i suspect your camera locked focus on the player in white..... keep plugging away and remember to spend time with your shots in Post ... What usually helps me is to look cafefully at my shots in post and figure out what went wrong.... The next time I hit the field after that I pick one or 2 things i want to work on .... for example ..." this time im giong to work on not cutting off the players feet" ... it sounds stupid but it really helps .... Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff this season

I'm not close to being above averge but I do what Topher said try working on 1 or 2 things each time you go out and each time my pictures start getting better I am looking forward to shot some football this fall for the first time.
