PERFORMING ARTS: The tiny photo epidemic?

This isn't addressed to anyone posted on this forum, as the people i'm talking about don't post here.

Anyway, does anyone notice the tiny photo epidemic? Where someone can take a very out of focus/crappy photo, shrink it down to tiny size and it looks halfway decent? Happens alot of Flickr of course, but I know some other locals around here in LA do it way too often.

Their preview images are less than 400x400 and they look pretty decent, but if you click on them to see a 600x600 or higher resolution original pic, it looks like they dragged the shutter so much, it looks they shot through a fogged up lens.
