I just noticed that the head of my flash (likely the flash bulb) is getting a yellow tinge to it. I didn't notice it before; is this normal?

If so send it to Canon to have the part replaced, shouldn't cost too much. Actually whatever the problem Canon can probably fix it easily enough. After further observation I'm even more sure that it's the bulb. Robert McCadden

Since it works fine I'm thinking that aside from the coloration everything is ok. I think it may have happened last week; I hooked up my skyports and gelled flash, turned everything on, fired a test shot, and noticed that the gel got a little crispy right over the bulb. I think it was only on 1/2 too. Ok Tim, I think I just answered my own question w/ your help. It was a very thin layer of gel that was melted on there. I was able to get it of with some water and a towel. Robert McCadden
