The Goodyear Blimp shot the VOR approach while we were flying gliders at the Marion County Airport in Ohio. BTW, that is my 15 year old son flying the glider! Not the best image, just cool to have the blimp and the glider in the same frame.

On short final.

Just a cool crop duster that was operating a few days earlier.

You have a shot of the blimp and your son in the same frame....not everyone can say that! Print it, frame it....savor the moment!

I have quite a few of the blimp and none of them have another aircraft in it. You got your son flying with it, great shot, it doesn't get any cooler than that.

Thanks for the comments. My son and I are taking glider lessons together this summer. The coolest was a couple of weeks ago when we were in separate aircraft thermalling together - about 150 feet apart and opposite each other turning and climbing in a thermal. We made it from a release altitude of 2000 feet AGL to 5100 AGL.
