Here are some shots I took of this very cool 57. One very cool thing to note is the owner bought this car on Dec. 6, 1956.

c&c always welcome.

Nice set. Of course I like the third one best.

Nice 50's look. Buick grill, Mercury skirts, frenched antennas, three deuces and scallops. I need to get my 55 out and try to shoot some. I like all your shots. But I see the attraction to 3.

Nice series! Looks like a Buick grill, & with all that chrome, I hope it's not a Trailer Queen?

I need to get my 55 out and try to shoot some.

It's about time, too! ;)

I agree, not to my taste, either. My first car was a 57 Bel Air 4 dr. Notice he is using a '59 steering wheel?

When I joined the Navy in the spring of '68, I had TWELVE broken 1st-reverse sliders in my junk pile. Never could afford a 4-speed back then, but I somehow managed to dredge up parts for and used 3-speeds.

Hurst "misery shifter."

One day, I broke a fan belt, shut 'er off, and heard a motor running--the generator.

Really nice shots, by the way

I don't think so, he lives in Yipsilanti, MI. and he drove it Lima, OH and Fairmount, IN. to shows over the years that I know of. I'm sure it does not get driven as much as it used to he is getting older, and has had some health issues.
He said he has bought two new cars his entire life this one and the new 300 he has now.

Two good choices.

Thanks

That's nice to hear that.

Its just not my taste,

I agree, too. We used to say, "If it won't go, chrome it!", but who knows why some of these guys do what they do? One guy at a show last year has a gold plated radiator! :D

He said he has bought two new cars his entire life this one and the new 300 he has now.

I'd guess that, having it for all those years, he just didn't know where to stop? ;)
