Nope but I do have 2 CDs of white noise.

Actually, listening to it or having static on the TV freaks me out a little because of the "white noise" movies.

Have you checked these out? Rockabye Baby! (external link)
Metallica, Tool, and Radiohead used to calm Kyler like no other.

Anyone want my tantrum throwing 22 month old? His beloved firetruck fell over and he's having a cow and a half. I should be cleaning he has an occupational therapist coming over to evaluate him. He receives speech therapy and they want this done. I have loads of laundry that I did this morning that need to be folded. Anyone wanna come help?

Ummm...no on the toddler and I'd love to help but I need to fold laundry and clean in my own house. Ugh. I'm just hoping both boys nap this afternoon when I get home so I can have some quality time with my html editor and bang out a card idea I had in CS3....or nap but since tomorrow's saturday I may get to sleep in a little.

I think you might want to try that popup flash first! it is WAAAAYY More reasonable price! use the equipment you have first... LOL

LOL JK! I got the 580 cause I expect to upgrade to a multi flash system in not too many years... however if you are sure that you won't be doing that then. I don't see why you would need the 580. Of course, the 580 will likely be upgraded again in a year so... I dunno. it's your choice, is your money burning a hole in your pocket?

How did I know you'd come up with a remark like that

I don't know if I'll be do multi-flash set-ups any time soon but I guess it couldn't hurt to be ABLE to. No it's not burning a hole, I just haven't gotten any new camera gear since my L's.

580. Not so much for the wireless E-TTL mastering as for the extra output. It's about a stop more reach than the 430EX, and if you're going to be photographing your brother and his partner in competitions, or anyhow in large halls, you'll need that. Large open areas without walls and ceilings to reflect extra light from just drink up the flash output; in fact the rule of thumb is to use about a stop more exposure if you're shooting with flash outdoors. So if you were doing manual flash calculations and they said you needed f/5.6, you'd open up to f/4 to allow for the lack of reflective surfaces.

That makes sense. That extra power would also be usefull if I'm using a diffuser (was actually thinking of getting a umbrella)

Morning everyone!!

No work today, I have switched to only working 3 days a week, it is not enough hours, but it is the best I can do. Although it is really nice to have today off. :)

I am really tired again, I was up until 1:30 again haha, I should really stop doing that.

Hey, you got your MacBook, right? Ya might want to change your gear so it's not under "coming soon" ;)

Anyways, I'll probably end up going with the 580ex II flash for the reasons Jon stated
