she's looking good tiff. can you bring the brightness up just the tiniest bit more? i've got my brightness all the way up and she still looks a smidgen dark.

you've done a great job on her eyes and skin and the other things that bother you though. other than your watermark being right at her chest, the frame looks great too. :D

Thanks D. I should have unpacked my calibrator last night. :D

I tried to put the watermark someplace it's not easy to remove.

Honestly, this calibration crap is annoying me. Things look good in PS and then when I get them on the internet at home I notice things need more fixing and when I get to work they look completely different as well.

That's what drives me nuts about photo shop. I think you have to use Firefox set to color managed in order to see the correct results.

But, what if the client views in IE?

Honestly, I'm thinking of just raising my session fees and making prints or a proof book instead of online proofing.

Your not the only one Doodie.

2 days ago i had a dream in which i was in a vast desert plain with...what looked like patches of cracked rocks, the sand was reddish, the sun was a fierce yellow with a tint of green over the horizon, i was looking directly towards it and...for some reason i woke up crying.

Dont you dare call me crazy.

I had a photography dream last night. I don’t really remember the details, but I clearly remember having a camera in hand. Maybe it’s because I have not been able to do any shooting in over a week. That changes today though as I’m working with a hand model today. :)

I had a lean entrees from Meijer. Gotta work off some of that belly before T-day.

That’s a real problem so I always calibrate my monitor as if I were going to be printing the pic. I have little control on how it’s going to look on other monitors and am sometimes surprised on how bad a pic can look on some. However, usually the person working on that monitor has become so accustom to the horrid colors that they are ok with it.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I think only Firefox and some Mac browser offer color managed browsers. IE does not support it. But I wouldn't worry about online proofs for clients, not calling them stupid, but we have a much finer eye for detail.

That's what I always assume (and yes, I know what that makes me), that people are used to the colors that they see, and can see the picture for what it's likely to print like if they use a good printer... Yes, I'm one of the horrible photographer that gives people their images and lets them print them.

Mornin all. It is Monday again, or at least it feels that way. I have had a weird day so far. It's just not right to have a Tuesday off... it throws everyone off.

Anyway - I think that keeping your logo in one spot would help, Tiff. One size, one place. Change the color if need be, but I dont think you need to match your logo with the colors in the photo... Are you really worried about them having a 72 dpi low res file?!

Going with a proof book is a nice idea - whatever works for ya.
