old ford dump truck

2 random pictures of a beat up Ford dump truck / straight truck that is sitting at my grandmas & her husbands farm.

let me know what you think of them and what i can do to help them if anything. Pictures are straight from camera, no adjustments other then resizing for the forum

30D & 28-135 kit lens, 50mm F/1.8 MKII, monopod, tipod w/pan tilt head, 430EX w/ sto-fen omni bounce,

On the brown truck, due 10/26 ... 70-200 2.8L IS :D

I don't think f/2.8 was a good choice & would like to see the Ford in the first one sharper.

Somewhere between f/5.6 and f/8 would probably help these...they need some additional DOF

The DOF is just wide enough to get all of the text sharp, but the point you focused on is too offset to the right. Of course, rotating the camera left will move the "subject" closer and reduce DOF. So, take 1/20 of a step back and you'll be all set! ;)
