I took these shots at the local car show/swap meet a few months back. I'd never really shot cars before, so I didn't have much of a plan. Weather conditions were dreary and overcast. I started out taking some basic 3/4 angle shots with my Canon EF 28-135:

But was underwhelmed, so switched to my EF-S 10-22 and went for some wide-angle distortion. Which I found somewhat amusing.

I'm sure I broke all kinds of rules regarding automotive photography, but some random Google searches didn't turn up much, and I have seen any dedicated books. Any suggestions, critique or pointers would be welcome.

I have been in love with those little, ugly cars since the first time I laid an eye on one.

Not sure why, exactly, but they are just cool.

They look good for a show shoot. Mostly, try to make it look as good as you can when conditions permit?

Ooh, hey thanks for the link, PhotosGuy! Interesting reading there. I'm taking notes.

Here are a few more shots from the show. Enjoy.
