I was a little late arriving for iceberg season, and this berg is a little far off shore for my liking but it was the only one in the area.
So it was a "take it, or leave it" decision. Although I drove almost 6 hours to hunt icebergs, I decided to take the picture anyhow.

Hope you like it.
C&C always welcomed

I think it's a nice shot! A little blown out here and there, but overall nice.

Although it won't replace last years masterpiece its still very well presented Frank. And no blown out areas on my calibrated apple monitor.

Nice shot, Frank. You may recall the summer I was there, no icebergs at all. Guess I'll have to go back.

Very nice shot overall, and more than a little interesting. I never knew icebergs hit the land. I guess it is stuck there now? Someone said you have shots of one from last year? Got a link. :)

Thanks Stan. Last year and this year were good years for icebergs, and they expect the next couple of years to be good as well.
The best time for bergs are May and June. The NE winds in July usually pulls them out to sea.

Thanks Kenny. The global warming affect must have been happening for a very long time. There's been reports of icebergs in and around Newfoundland for hundreds of years.

Nice one Frank.... ! Must have been a good year judging from the amount of photos posted on the Newfoundland Photographers forum. Been over thirty years since I've been back to Twillingate. Some of my very early ancestors settled in that area. Maybe next Spring . . . ? Your photos are making it very enticing . . :D
