Thanks Kurt,
Think they all have some hand focus stacking apart from #1 :)

Just for interest - the hawker was in the garden again this morning so I got the wife to take a pic of me taking pics of it. You can just see the tail under the diffuser. The wrist thing is not some new secret camera gear, but I'm still suffering from RSIFTTMP :)

Excellent series Brian, beautiful looking Dragonfly to boot. What's RSIFTTMP? I noticed you 've moved to a 430ex as well, when did you do that? I thought you were still using the Sigma...

Great shots Brian.

Amazing that you could approach so close without it flying off

Thanks for looking and commenting Na2el and Dave :)
Na2eL - Taken with a 350D/Sigma 105/430Ex setup except the last shot taken with a 40D/MPE-65/430Ex setup

Dave- I've been using a 430Ex on my 40D/MPE-65 for quite a while but more recently swapped to one on my sigma 105/350D rig. Just is much nicer to use- faster recycling and much better use of batteries (more shots from a battery recharge primarily because the 430Ex seems to be able to function still when the voltage starts dropping).
RSIFTTMP= repetitive strain injury from taking too many photos

great series Brian the detail in the last shot is amazing
I find do that the larger dragonflies like to perch in bushes makes it hard to get a nice background but these are superb anyway

Excellent set. Super pano. Think you will have trouble with the wrist all the time, once you have RSI, it will keep on reoccurring.
