If anyone gets to go, please don't tell me, I'm so jealous I could spit!
FREE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS AT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK BEGIN AUGUST 18
Visitors Can Learn From the Pros While Using Top-Tier Cameras
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo.—The National Park Service hosts Canon and American Park Network in presenting free digital photography workshops. Join a photo walk with seasoned professionals who share their experience taking landscape and wildlife photographs using the latest digital technology. By attending a weekend photo walk, you will not only learn to improve your photo composition skills, but also be inspired by the photo professionals who conduct each photo walk.
Weekday programs are led by photographers, including Otto Pohl and Anne Sherwood, both of who have been recognized nationally for their photographic excellence. Mr. Pohl and Ms. Sherwood apply their real world experience in the field and have the gift to explain complex concepts in simple, easy-to-understand language.
On August 22-23, the photo walks will be led by Canon Explorer of Light, Darrell Gulin. Canon’s Explorer of Light program is comprised of a group of the most celebrated, internationally-known photographers ever assembled.
No cameras are necessary. Aspiring photographers will learn the tips and tricks to taking great outdoor photos and experience hands-on training using some of the same equipment that professional photographers use. Canon will provide digital single lens reflex bodies and lenses for all participants, though guests are welcome to use their own equipment. Please arrive approximately 15–30 minutes before the class begins. All participants will be able to print the images they have taken and be able to download their photos from the Web.
The free workshops will take place daily (except Tuesday) from August 18 through August 24. The daytime workshops begin at 8:30 a.m. and noon at the Old Faithful Inn. The evening program begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Snow Lodge Meeting Room.
This year’s Photography in the Parks program kicked off in Yosemite National Park and traveled to Grand Canyon National Park before arriving in Yellowstone.
